1. Backing up daily and keeping your files secure

We keep a daily backup of all our current and archived graphic design jobs. The backup drive is stored away from the studio overnight, so there is always a safe copy of your files. Our digital archive still contains the artwork and paperwork files associated with our first ever job!

2. Maintaining financial security

Apart from startup and vehicle loans (both of which are well and truly paid off) Flux does not have a line of credit or overdraft facility. We operate completely in a cash positive way so we can always pay our suppliers on time and never need to waste time dealing with angry creditors.

3. Keeping a solid and diverse client base

As an extension of our financial stability we aim to ensure we do not do more than 30% of our work with any single client. We have established graphic design service agreements with several large organisations:

Flux Visual Communication is raising the profile of graphic design in South Australia as a professional service by championing designer accreditation.

We exist to provide evidence that designer accreditation is good for the design industry, good for design clients and good for designers. We aim to show that professionalism and creativity can exist simultaneously.

5. Staying educated and increasing experience

We’ve been around a while now, since 2003 to be precise—and we are planning on being around a lot longer. Design is not just a fleeting experiment for us, but a long term passion. All our designers have minimum tertiary qualifications in graphic design and we’re aiming to be Adelaide largest group of accredited designers.

6. Growing our knowledge base

Between 2003 and 2015, Flux has completed over 1300 small, medium or large projects of various types. That’s a lot of experience in a huge variety or work!
