In late 2016 Flux received a high commendation from the Australasian Catalogue Awards for the Fruitalicious wholesale fruit and vegetable catalogue design.
The award was granted for creative design and execution, highlighting our ability to develop clear and effective marketing collateral with a high level of design thinking and creative skill. Much of the design is crafted by hand, including hand lettered typography and original, creative photography.
The photography was a collaboration between Frank Stillitano (Art Director), Andrew Beveridge (Photographer) and Christina Soong (Food Stylist). The shoot was conducted on site at the client’s premises in order to keep the products refrigerated and looking their best. Setting up the shoot on site posed some major logistic challenges, which included finding products as required whilst allowing warehouse staff to continue to load orders on transport vehicles nearby.
The photos and design assets were also used to create the client’s website. Along with increased product visibility resulting in improved sales, the investment in ‘doing things well the first time’ pays dividends year after year.
This award is another great reward for the huge effort from both the client and creative team in bringing this project together.
