Brand design

Every great brand design begins with an even better story.

Your brand tells people who your company, organisation or entity is. It’s the heart and soul of your business. The personality, style and character. Brand design uses typography, colour, imagery and style to communicate the viewpoint and purpose of the company.

Brand design

Brand design is more than just a logo. Branding encompasses everything to do with the marketing of your company/organisation/entity, and how it is presented to the world: logo design (and how this is used), corporate typefaces, colour palette, photographic style and secondary branding (such as patterns, icons, unique shapes and other decorative elements).

Watch your tone

Branding includes the tone of voice of your company, or in other words, the language used across all your company’s marketing collateral. Is your brand fun, playful and edgy? Professional, serious and credible? Or compassionate, heartfelt and understanding? This depends on your industry, service/product, and positioning strategy.

Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons

Competitor research can identify gaps in the market, which can be used to your advantage and to help you stand out from the crowd – as long as it is still appropriate for the industry/market. A lot of the time, there’s a certain amount of risk involved in standing out and trying something different. We love pushing the boundaries, developing unexpected branding solutions and daring our clients to be brave! But we are also agreeable folk, who work with our clients to ensure everyone is happy with the outcome.

Consistency is key

It pays to take a step back and look at your brand objectively. Get back to basics and imagine your brand as a person. Does the styling, logo, colours and tone all feel cohesive and consistent, like they are coming from the same person? Or are the different aspects disjointed, haphazard or confusing? If it’s the latter, we’re here to help demystify the mysterious world of brand design.

Build a solid foundation

Whether you’re expanding, restructuring or only just starting a business, we can also help you to develop your brand architecture – most often, this is the hierarchy of entities under a parent company. Getting this right will help clarify business strategy, direction and messaging going forward.

Let’s be strategic

We can help you assess your current brand, and develop a brand strategy, along with any design work necessary. This could be anything from the design of a missing element to tie your existing brand together, development of a strategy alone to give your brand a clear direction, to a full rebrand including all the bells and whistles.

Branding that makes the grade

One area of expertise (and passion) at Flux is in developing engaging and meaningful solutions for schools. The branding of a school is a powerful tool that can help to strengthen and unify the school community under a cohesive identity. Working with the Department for Education, school staff, school communities and stakeholder groups, we have helped many institutions across South Australia through the process of rebranding.
