Hand-drawn solution for Creative Holdfast identity
City of Holdfast Bay
Brief
The City of Holdfast Bay needed a unique, striking and creative identity system for their new calendar of arts and cultural events, Creative Holdfast.
Research
Our exploration began with research into celebrations and events. We experimented with paints, watercolours and other media to create abstract decorative shapes, patterns and hand drawn typography. Abstract people and rainbows were developed to evoke the spirit of happy celebrations.
Solution
The outcome was a playful and creative identity system. The raw, hand drawn execution references creative expression, as seen in the many arts and cultural events in the Creative Holdfast program.
The final applications included an A5 program booklet, digital web banner and social media collateral.
