Highbury Heritage Homes

Contemporary brochure design for a heritage home builder

Highbury Heritage Homes

Brief

A boutique building company renowned for building low volumes of outstanding quality heritage homes needed a brochure design that looks and feels more like a high end magazine. Highbury Heritage Homes approached Flux to develop a company profile that reflected the attention to detail and high standards their reputation demanded.

Research

Most of the work had been done for us: beautiful product photography by Scott Harding was analysed and we decided to let his work do most of the talking. Our client has a marketing background and supplied us with well crafted copy. To this we added subtle typography, a high quality print specification and loads of space around the visual elements to allow elegance to flourish.

Solution

Having images and copy already produced, we spent most of our time developing the layout and typography. We selected a serif typeface that hinted at being ‘heritage’ whilst being a more modern version of a traditional serif typeface. Then we treated some key words as headlines by applying decorative elements inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s work.

Our first work for Highbury Heritage Homes has already acquired a large amount of positive feedback from all sorts of contacts. A second collaboration with this client of a different nature with is now in the pipeline.
