Annual Report design 2020-21
Return To Work SA
Brief
ReturnToWorkSA wanted a fresh, new look for their 2020–21 Annual Report—a look which could be adapted, updated and used again for the next few years. The new design needed to be flexible, modern and abide by their existing style guide. The process included several meetings to improve workflow, reduce amendments and identify cost savings.
Research
As we have a strong working relationship with ReturnToWorkSA, we already had a good feel for their corporate branding system. We experimented with scale, patterning, photographic treatments and additional decorative elements. Graph, icon and infographic styling was also explored.
Solution
We wanted to emphasise the ‘people-centric’ focus of ReturnToWorkSA through the design. We combined large speech bubbles (taken from the ReturnToWorkSA logo) with images of people to reflect the ongoing conversation and communication between claims agents and clients.
The grid structure throughout the publication is flexible to allow for a variety of content. Spacious layouts, professional photography and simple infographics ensure the content is engaging, easily digestible and understandable.
Additional services included proof reading, and placing PDF financial tables rather than typesetting them. The end result is an elegant, high quality document at a very cost effective investment.
