South Australian Electrolysis Committee

Electrifying logo and website design

South Australian Electrolysis Committee

Brief

Since 1977, the South Australian Electrolysis Committee have been working with utilities, service providers and businesses throughout SA to ensure safe management of corrosion caused by electrical currents.

This not-for-profit organisation needed a website to act as a central point of contact and information sharing (such as installation forms and an asset register). The website needed to include a content management system to allow committee members to make updates as necessary.

Research

As the SAEC didn’t have an online presence, people were having trouble finding their contact details. The data the committee was managing also needed to be stored somewhere with more online accessibility.

After much discussion with the South Australian Electrolysis committee about the functionality they required from their website, we recommended a website built using Squarespace. This would allow committee members to make their own changes to the website in the future without the need of a web developer.

Solution

We developed a simple Squarespace website for the SAEC, which they can access and update as they need. We also designed a simple typographic logo using positive and negative symbols to connect with the nature of their work.
